Wine barn

The WINE BARN ("Vinařská stodola" or "Vinařská 100-dola") is an architectural building in the style of a traditional farmhouse, which extends the area of the CHÂTEAU VALTICE winery.

In the ground floor is a large wine shop with classic brick archive boxes, boasting a display of wines from CHÂTEAU VALTICE and a selection of wines from Kovacs Winery. The wine shop is dominated by a historical wine press from 1803, restored and transported from the old wine cellar in Valtice castle.

The jewel of the Wine Barn is the wine cellar and a "wine temple" with a rotunda, which is connected to the historical Cross Wine Cellar in the heart of the winery, as well as to the new tasting rooms of the Moravian wine cellar under the Wine Barn.

In a unique tour circuit, the Wine Barn thus represents a link between history and the present.

The Wine Barn complex was awarded a Special Prize in the Building of the South Moravian Region 2017 competition and was also among the 15 nominated buildings for the Building of the Year 2018 title.

The wine shop offers a wide selection of bottled wines from CHÂTEAU VALTICE and a selection of wines from Kovacs Winery. We also offer complementary goods in the form of wine cartons and cases, wine books, jams, honeys and delicious cheeses. You can taste wines from a shortlist or enjoy great coffee or tea.

• The wine shop also serves as a dispensing point for your orders placed in the sales department and in the e-shop during these operating hours.
