Our Winery

CHÂTEAU VALTICE - wine cellars is one of the most important and oldest wineries in the Czech Republic. It is a family-run company with deep Moravian roots and traditions.

For several years the winery has been successfully operating under the leadership of Antonín Št'astný and his two sons, Marek and David. The general manager Marek Šťastný personally supervises the production and quality of the wines. His brother David is the Marketing and Strategy Director and his father Antonín is in charge of the vineyards.

The CHÂTEAU VALTICE winery in its present form is above all the largest grape grower in the Czech Republic. This allows it to carefully control the quality of vines and grapes all year round on more than 1,000 hectares of vineyards in Moravia, both in Valtice region and especially on the premium vineyards below Pálava hills.

Using the most modern and traditional winemaking techniques, CHÂTEAU VALTICE offers a huge range of different types of wine from young and fresh wines, wines aged both in the bottle and on oak barrels, to various types of sparkling wine. Customers can thus choose from a selection of more than 170 top wines.

Of the approximately 30 different varieties, white wines predominate in the assortment. However, the range of wines is also expanded by exclusive wines such as Bouvier's grape, Cabernet Blanc, Tramin Yellow or Muscat Yellow, which are both very popular with customers and successful at exhibitions.

For several centuries, the CHÂTEAU VALTICE brand has been synonymous with the highest quality wines not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the world, as evidenced by regular major quality awards at highly prestigious domestic and international wine exhibitions.

The wines can be tasted both in the Castle Cellar A.D. 1430 under the Valtice Castle, where the CHÂTEAU VALTICE tour and tasting exhibition is open, and the wines can be purchased in the Wine Barn vinoteque ("Vinařská stodola") and Wine Emergency ("Vinařská pohotovost) whop in the winery area.

Every year the winery organises its own wine events for the public, such as the Festival of wine&food, RETRO harvest festival and other wine tastings & events, where it introduces its visitors to the new products in its range as well as to the whole operation and running of the winery.
