Pálava wine from CHÂTEAU VALTICE celebrates triumph in South Korea

Asia Wine Trophy

At the end of October, the "Asia Wine Trophy" competition took place in Deajon, South Korea - the only competition held in Asia under the auspices of the O.I.V. (International Organisation for Vine and Wine, based in Paris). The quality of the organization is overseen by the German D.W.M. (Deutche Wine Marketing) and the jury is composed of top tasters and sommeliers from all over the world. More than 4,200 wines from all major regions were entered into the competition.

We are all the more pleased with the great success that the wines from CHÂTEAU VALTICE - Wine Cellars have achieved here. The straw wine from the Pálava variety, vintage 2022, was one of two wines from the Czech Republic to receive the highest award - the Grand Gold Medal.

"A wine with a beautiful deep golden colour and aromas reminiscent of honey, dried raisins and candied fruit. The palate is full and rich, with subtle citrus notes. It comes from our vineyards in the wine-growing village of Brod nad Dyjí, from the vineyard line Brodské stráně', comments the award-winning wine Mgr. David Št'astný, the company's director.

Another successful wine from CHÂTEAU VALTICE in Korea was Merlot - late harvest 2022, which won a gold medal.
