6 CHÂTEAU VALTICE wines have won beautiful awards at an international competition in faraway Texas. Which ones are they?
Judging for the Texas International Wine Competition took place this year in the City Visitor Center ballroom in historic Buda on the outskirts of Austin's capital city
The competition was founded by international wine judge, Ms. Bonnie Villacampa, who judged for over 10 years at the Great American International Wine Competition and the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition in New York. The mission of the Texas International Wine Competition is to highlight Texas as a premier wine growing and winemaking region while raising money for charitable causes.
Five international judges evaluated more than 1,000 wines. Mayor Lee Urbanovsky, a Czech by grandparentage, also attended the final judging in person.
With the medals won this year, "Czechoslovakia" ranks second among the 11 participating countries, just behind its home country, the USA.
CHÂTEAU VALTICE wines won 6 beautiful awards - 3 gold medals, a silver and two bronze medals. Most of these award winning wines are still being prepared for sale, but there is definitely something to look forward to!
